RFA Efforts Continue
The talks and plans to move forward with a Regional Fire Authority effort still continue, and have made great leaps towards an August 2010 election vote. Planning committee members are meeting monthly, with sub committee meetings taking place constantly to gather information, facts and figures to present to the citizens of the area. The Montesano Fire Department, Montesano City Council and Grays Harbor Fire District 2 have been sending members to meetings that have been taking place monthly to discuss the efforts of the RFA and possibilities it holds for the future. There are several separate committees that are presenting information to the body of the planning committee such as finance, infrastructure, public relations and Human resources. If you are a member of the community or want to contribute or learn more about the RFA, the meetings are open to the public and will be advertised to when and were they will be held through our website, the Facebook groups and soon the RFA website that has yet to be launched.
